Best Microsoft Copilot Books in 2026: 10 Books on Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and GitHub Copilot
Updated 7 November 2026. By Parikshit Khanna.
Check which Copilot your team uses before you choose a book. A guide to Microsoft 365 workflows, a Copilot Studio agent tutorial and a GitHub Copilot coding book teach different tasks.
Microsoft explains current access and grounding in its Microsoft 365 Copilot overview. Check your account and permissions before trying exercises that refer to work data.

Choose Microsoft Copilot For Dummies for a broad introduction, Microsoft 365 Copilot At Work for app-by-app practice, Lisa Crosbie’s Copilot Studio guide for building agents, or Microsoft 365 Copilot Adoption for planning a rollout.

How these books were chosen
The list groups books by product, reader role and the work they teach: office productivity, agent building, rollout and software development. Use the linked edition details to check the table of contents and Microsoft’s current docs to check plan-specific instructions.
Check the product and permissions first
For a Microsoft 365 workflow, try one exercise with a sanitized sample file you are allowed to use. Ask for a summary with references, check them against the file and confirm which data the account can access.
For an agent project, look for an exercise on allowed data sources, publishing and testing in Microsoft’s Copilot Studio documentation before choosing a book. For coding, choose a GitHub Copilot title and test its examples in a practice repository.
