Hands on AI working session with a leadership team

If you run a family office, the first question about Claude is not what it can write. It is who can see what you type, who should learn it first, and how you stop a neat summary from becoming an investment decision nobody checked. This guide is for principals, family office heads and chiefs of staff.

The stakes keep rising. Knight Frank's Wealth Report 2026 counts 19,877 ultra high net worth individuals in India, sixth in the world, according to Business Today. Anthropic added a security center and new desktop controls to Claude Enterprise on 5 November 2026, and India's data protection rules bring their main duties into force on 13 May 2027.

Quick answer

  • Board level AI governance with other family shareholders: INSEAD's AI for Boards.

  • Family office foundations in India: ISB's family enterprise centre. Wealth literacy for heirs: Wharton's Private Wealth Management.

  • Private one to one Claude tuition on a set syllabus: Koenig Solutions. A free baseline: Anthropic Academy.

  • A small, confidential Claude briefing built around your own redacted paperwork: I am one option, but read my fit note in entry 1 first.

How I picked

  • Every provider page was opened on 8 November 2026; only what it says is repeated, and no prices are quoted.

  • Programmes naming family members, owners or board members as the audience scored higher, as did private formats.

  • Where a programme does not teach AI, I say so, because families often need governance first and tools second.

Top 10 Claude trainers for ultra HNIs and family offices in 2027

1. Parikshit Khanna, Digital Training Jet (Delhi NCR, onsite and live online)

I founded Digital Training Jet in 2020 and teach Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Gemini, onsite and live online. To be direct: I have not yet run a programme for a family office. My closest work is with owners and directors. On 18 September 2026 I ran a Claude session for the directors of RG Group, a Noida real estate business, and advised them on Claude Team versus Microsoft 365 Copilot Business and Anthropic's Claude for Microsoft 365 add in. I have also run AI sessions for industry leaders at CII New Delhi and for JITO chapters (Skillathon 2025), and a ChatGPT workshop for ZAFCO's CXOs in February 2025. With a family I would keep groups small, use synthetic or redacted documents and stay out of investment calls.

  • Best for: principals, directors and heirs who want a private, practical Claude briefing.

  • Recent proof: Franklin Templeton India, 5 November 2026, an organisation wide AI session with a 60 prompt practice library that also references Claude.

2. INSEAD, AI for Boards (Fontainebleau, in person)

A four day programme for chairs, non executive directors and C suite leaders whose participant profile explicitly includes family members and controlling shareholders on family company boards. It covers AI foundations, judging AI capability, data privacy, accountability and oversight, ending with an action plan for your own board. Sessions are listed for 1 December 2026 and 14 June 2027. It is governance, not Claude practice.

  • Best for: family members who sit on the operating company board.

  • Format: in person, four days, France.

3. ISB Thomas Schmidheiny Centre for Family Enterprise (India)

ISB's family enterprise centre runs short programmes such as Family Office Essentials: Navigating Wealth and Legacy, Next Generation in Family Business, and Making Directors Effective in Family Business. The family office brochure covers single and multi family office structures, governance, succession and investments. No listed syllabus mentions AI, so use it for the foundations a Claude session later sits on.

  • Best for: Indian families setting up or formalising an office.

  • Format: short classroom programmes; confirm dates with ISB.

4. Wharton Executive Education, Private Wealth Management (Philadelphia)

Built with the Institute for Private Investors for ultra high net worth family members, wealth creators and next generation participants, this six day programme covers family governance and wealth transfer, manager evaluation, asset allocation and family office resilience. The next dates listed are 25 to 30 April 2027, with interview screening. There is no AI module; the gain is sharper judgement when checking AI summaries.

5. Koenig Solutions, Claude for Everyday Productivity (Online, classroom or one to one)

An eight hour course available live online, in a classroom, self paced or with a private one to one instructor on flexible dates. The outline covers Projects and Artifacts, document analysis, connectors, output validation, and data privacy in regulated settings. The one to one route suits a principal who would rather not learn in a group; bring redacted examples.

  • Best for: a principal or chief of staff wanting private tuition.

  • Format: eight hours, several delivery modes.

  • Official link: Koenig Claude course

6. Anthropic Academy (Online)

Anthropic's own learning hub offers AI Fluency, a Claude for work track, a Claude for personal track and developer courses, with certificates on completion. It is free and self paced, so it works as a pre read before any private session and gives a family office team one shared vocabulary.

  • Best for: office staff and younger family members wanting a free start.

  • Format: self paced online courses.

  • Official link: Anthropic Academy

7. IMD, Leading your Family Business (Lausanne)

A five day open programme for members of business owning families, senior non family executives and board members. It examines growth, governance, succession and culture and benchmarks successful family firms. AI is not mentioned, so pair it with a separate Claude briefing if technology is on the family agenda.

8. NobleProg India, Claude for Executive Leadership (Online or onsite)

NobleProg's India catalogue includes a 14 hour Claude for Executive Leadership course aimed at senior leaders, delivered online live or onsite, including at the customer's premises. That suits a family that prefers training inside its own office. Expect a published outline the trainer adapts, not a programme designed around your family.

  • Best for: an office wanting an instructor led course at its own address.

  • Format: 14 hours, online or onsite.

9. MIT Sloan, Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy (Online)

A six week self paced programme needing no technical background. It covers machine learning, generative AI and robotics through a strategy lens and ends with a project for your own organisation, useful for deciding where AI creates value across the operating companies.

  • Best for: principals overseeing several businesses.

  • Format: online, MIT Sloan certificate.

10. IIM Bangalore, Management Programme for Entrepreneurs and Family Businesses (Bengaluru)

A long programme for entrepreneurs, family business owners and next generation leaders, with an international immersion at WHU in Germany. Batch 17 runs from 15 September 2026 to 18 March 2027 and covers digital business, governance and succession. AI is not listed: a management foundation for a successor, not a Claude course.

  • Best for: a successor preparing to lead.

  • Format: in person, long duration.

How to compare Claude trainers for family offices

  1. Ask for dated work with owners or boards, and whether they have trained a family office. Ask me too.

  2. Settle confidentiality first: your NDA signed before any document moves, synthetic or redacted samples, and a clear decision on recording.

  3. Test product knowledge: Claude Opus 5.5 (22 September 2026), Sonnet 5.5 (28 September 2026) and the single Claude app with Docs and Slides introduced on 16 September 2026.

  4. Ask why an office might choose Team or Enterprise seats over personal Pro accounts, and what the admin console controls.

  5. Check they can explain the 5 November 2026 Enterprise controls.

  6. Listen for boundaries: Claude output is not investment, tax or legal advice.

  7. Match format to people: one to one for a principal, a board briefing, a separate session for heirs.

  8. Ask for written usage rules and a review after a month.

What changes for family office data in 2027

The plan sets the controls. On Anthropic's pricing page, Team includes single sign on, admin controls for connectors and no model training on your content by default, at USD 25 per seat per month or USD 20 billed annually. Enterprise adds SCIM, audit logs, custom data retention and a Compliance API, priced on request.

The 5 November 2026 Enterprise update helps a small office. A security center compares your setup with Anthropic's recommended settings and exports a report for auditors; inference hooks pass prompts to your data loss prevention tools; desktop controls can block personal accounts on managed laptops.

India's DPDP Rules were notified on 13 November 2025, and duties on notice, consent and data principal rights apply from 13 May 2027, as AZB and Partners explains. Map what staff, family and counterparty data may go into Claude before then. If you work with SEBI registered advisers, SEBI's June 2025 draft framework asks firms to disclose when AI affects client advice. This is general information, not legal advice.

How I would run a private briefing for a family

  • Before: an NDA, three recurring tasks, redacted samples and a plan decision.

  • Principals: reading a long memo with Claude and checking every number.

  • Office team: a Claude Project with approved files and a board note draft.

  • Next generation: research, critical reading, and Claude Docs and Slides for a family council deck.

  • After: a one page usage policy.

FAQs

Have you trained a family office before?

No. My closest work is with directors and senior leaders, such as the RG Group directors session on 18 September 2026, CII New Delhi and JITO chapters. Weigh that against the other nine options.

Will Claude give us investment advice?

It will summarise reports, but its output is not financial advice. Check figures against sources and decide with your registered advisers.

How do we keep family documents private?

Use Team or Enterprise, where training on your content is off by default, and keep identifying details out of prompts. My sessions use synthetic or redacted samples.

Which plan should a family office start with?

Team seats for core staff usually suffice. If you need audit logs, custom retention or a Compliance API, ask Anthropic about Enterprise.

Can the next generation have a separate session?

Yes. Heirs usually want research and presentation skills; principals want reading, checking and governance.
